I'll spare you the anti-Mac/Unix diatribe. Those of us who are objective know what's wrong with them and those of you who are religious about computer systems won't be swayed.
I will just point out (since it was mentioned above) that it's a lot easier to have "quality" when the same vendor that makes the hardware also makes the operating system - and - that for any software vendors out there writing for it only have to write for one set of hardware.
Mac's aren't bad computers, they just aren't all they're cracked up to be.
But then what is?
